Extreme Home Coin Collection
Overview
Over 90 days, we will document the changes made by three families. Their houses won’t be renovated, but the way they live will. They will implement simple ways to build a stronger neighborhood, increase their disaster preparedness, and become more self-sufficient.
Collecting spare coin change for charity is one of the simplest methods of raising money to make change. Each family will be given three CAN Banks to fill over the 90 days. While only three families will be documented, thousands in their community will also be participating.
40,000 homes in Costa Mesa will be visited and asked to participate in our challenge by 100 AnyBody CAN Mascots. Participating homes will be challenged to make change and return three full CAN Banks after 90 days.
We hope that we can set a NEW Guinness World Record when all the collected coins are combined and used to build a massive temporary coin mural. This exciting culmination of the 90-day campaign will fill a stadium and symbolize the inspiring results of working together. When we're done, all of the money will be donated to charity.
